This is driving me crazy. Every single time I boot Ubuntu (24.04 LTS release) with three monitors connected, my computer freezes at the login screen. I can't move my mouse, ctrl+alt+F1 thru 6 do nothing, and so on. All I can do is reboot by holding the power button.

The second I unplug my third monitor and reboot, the issue goes away. Can anyone help? It's interesting to note that this is actually the reason I switched to Ubuntu; I was running debian but got this issue and jumped over in hopes of a fix. I don't think it's a hardware thing as the monitor works fine when on the desktop and boots font in windows.

GPU is an RTX 4070, proprietary nVidia drivers installed.

Thanks!

There is no such version of Ubuntu called latest. Question here get referred to for years. A real and actual version number is always needed. Please edit the question and give that info.
