This is a fresh installation of most recent Kubuntu. I have everything else running in portrait mode. The last thing is to get my login screen to be in portrait mode. How do I do that? I'm hoping for some clear directions.

I'm running Operating System: Kubuntu 24.04 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.11 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.115.0 Qt Version: 5.15.13 Kernel Version: 6.8.0-35-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 24 × 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-13700K Memory: 31.1 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: llvmpipe Manufacturer: ASUS

  • My answer go to /usr/share/sddm/scripts/Xsetup in Xsetup replace the script with #!/bin/bash # Xsetup - run as root before the login dialog appears if [ -e /sbin/prime-offload ]; then echo running NVIDIA Prime setup /sbin/prime-offload /sbin/prime-offload fi xrandr --output HDMI-1 --mode 1920x1080 --pos 0x0 --rotate right now login screen is in portrait mode.
